Project Engineer
Responsibilities:
Project Engineers support project managers with planning, documentation, and coordination. This includes reviewing plans, tracking progress, ordering materials, handling submittals, and helping keep projects on schedule and on budget. You’ll split time between the office and the field, working closely with crews and leadership.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 0–3+ years of experience (entry-level to early career)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship or field experience in sitework or utilities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with construction software and Microsoft Office
Primary Location(s):
Toano, VA with field visits to active job sites
Certifications Required:
- Valid driver’s license
- EIT (preferred, not required)

Laborer
Responsibilities:
Laborers support the crew with day-to-day site work like digging, grading, trenching, and cleanup. You’ll use hand tools, help set up materials, and assist operators and pipe crews as needed. This is hands-on work outdoors in all conditions, keeping the job moving safely and efficiently.
Required Experience:
No formal experience required, but must be willing to learn and work hard.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Construction or outdoor labor experience
- Ability to work in a team
- Strong work ethic and reliability
Primary Location(s):
Toano, VA and surrounding job sites (Hampton Roads to Richmond area)
Certifications Required:
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- OSHA 10 (preferred, not required)

Pipe Layer
Responsibilities:
Pipe layers install water, sewer, and storm systems on site development projects. You’ll set pipe to grade, connect fittings, and work in trenches to make sure everything lines up correctly. The job requires attention to detail, teamwork, and working safely in active job site conditions.
Required Experience:
- 2–3+ years of pipe laying or underground utility experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with water, sewer, and storm systems
- Ability to read grade stakes or basic plans
- Experience working in trenches and around heavy equipment
Primary Location(s):
Toano, VA and surrounding project areas
Certifications Required:
- Valid driver’s license
- OSHA 10 or 30 (preferred)
